Why fasting should include digital fasting

I figured that healthy fasting is impossible for me (or at least ten times harder) when I do not inlcude the mental level.

Especially some form of digital fasting. Because for me these things seem connected.

When I’m overloaded with information my system knows biting, tasting, chewing, swallowing as an emergency escape route. Fasting forbids that, leaving me trapped in the digital swamp, drowning in information only ever sinking deeper.

Of couse I can meet this with more hardness and force. Endure and forbid food. I experience this approach to fasting as quite unpleasant and I can find no depth in it.

The solution seems to be this:
Fasting done healthily means the absence of taking in food as much as information.

And from that comes depth.
